A quick thought on light and darkness

In secular understandings, light and darkness are equally important because they are to define each other. Just like you cannot tell light apart from darkness, neither can you tell good from evil.But in the Bible, darkness exists as the absence of God's light. Hell exists because God is not there. Evil as darkness is defined by light but not the other way around. When we see light, we realize that we have long been entrapped in utter darkness. Light exists by itself. True light can only be seen and wholly perceived but not be defined.
