A Quote from George Owell

‘No doubt alcohol, tobacco and so forth are things that a saint must avoid, but sainthood is also a thing that human beings must avoid.’ ‘The essence of being human is that one does not seek perfection, that one is sometimes willing to commit sins for the sake of loyalty, that one does not push asceticism to the point where it makes friendly intercourse impossible, and that one is prepared in the end to be defeated and broken up by life, which is the inevitable price of fastening one’s love upon other human individuals.’ --------by George Owell

Sometimes we get lost in our own belief, keeping our minds on what should be the means but not the ends; some other times we are obsessed with every trivial of life, concerning nothing more than what our senses allow us to perceive. Yet there always remain a balance between these two: There is a life per se, and there is a soul being shaped by every chance of choice-making coming along the river of time. We can not be what we meant to be if we lose sight of the big picture of ultimate truth, yet it also will do us much harm if we failed to appreciate the life of others and ourselves along the way.
